I specialize in:
Therapeutic Deep Tissue which addresses: Injury treatment, trauma, long term injuries, sports performance, and improving activities of daily living.
Swedish and Spa Modalities geared to: Promote relaxation by calming the nervous system and improving flexibility which can utilizes the Swedish strokes, Hot Stones, and Aromatherapy matched toward your unique physical, emotional, and mental well being.
CranioSacral Therapy/SomatoEmotional Release: Utilizes the nervous system to identify and release old or new holding patterns. A full list and explanation of CranioSacral Therapy can be found at Upledger.com. The basic premise is holding the area of the body, being still enough to feel the deep spasms, targeting the correct areas, and leaving the body feeling as if the spasms were never there. This is possible in every area of the body, head to toe.
Cupping: Suction over the surface of the skin increases blood flow, improves circulation and range of motion, and is an immensely relaxing experience. Surface nerve endings bring sensory stimulation back to the brain producing neurotransmitters and hormones communicating to the body's organs and tissues to rest, to breath, and to be deeply at peace.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage: Treatment of swelling (edema) for Lymphedema and post-surgical edema. I am Klose trained and a Certified Lymphatic Therapist studying for the national LANA certification.
Each session is individualized based on goals of treatment and what is assessed during treatment. Swedish relaxation will rhythmically soften and unlock tension, while the subtle yet profound effects of CranioSacral work allow the body to better align tissues and joints which can have a noticible effect on how you age and how you perform daily tasks. Hot Stone Massage works along constricted muscles increasing blood flow, flexibility, and a better night's sleep.
