About Us

Our objective as Licenesd Massage Therapists and for DUMBO Wellness is to create relaxing, client centered, therapeutic and healing massage treatments to keep N.Y.C.’s inhabitants moving through their daily lives with more balance and less aches and pains. Every massage is a custom created session using a specific modality or a combination of Relaxation, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release and Shiatsu techniques to address the needs and concerns of the client.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a soft tissue therapy for the treatment of skeletal muscle immobility and pain. The method engages the myofascial tissue and loads it with constant force until release occurs. Floor Shiatsu

Shiatsu works within the five elements of Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, Wood and along their corresponding energetic pathways in the body. Incorporating jostling, rocking, kneading, stretching and compression techniques to disperse energetic stagnation or replenish energetic deficiency; Shiatsu allows the body to restore back to its natural balance. This session takes place on the floor with a Shiatsu mat. Client should wear comfortable clothing for gentle range of motion movements and stretches.

Reiki Distance Healing

Distance Reiki healing is a technique that allows the practitioner to offer a Reiki session with the client being in a different geographic location. Distance Healing is also sometimes referred to as the Absentee Reiki technique. The practitioner is able to transmit Reiki (otherwise known as spiritual energy, qi or prana) beyond physical touch.
