Kim has been a massage therapist since 2007. As a graduate of Lauterstein-Conway Massage School, she has studied Clinical and Advanced Structural bodywork that addresses injury and tension patterns as well as movement or postural imbalances that cause pain.  Deep massage techniques that incorporate myofascial release as well as cross fiber work are utilized. David Lauterstein's technique is deep, effective, and usually not painful as it is slow and allows the recipient to breathe into the work.  If the work is too painful and the recipient has to hold their breath it is difficult for the body to allow the necessary changes to take place.  Kim has also studied Sports massage for athletes and Swedish techniques which will leave you feeling relaxed and reduce stress, which is detrimental to health in many ways.

Kim is also a Certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Massage Therapist.  Receiving her prenatal/postnatal certificate soon after having her first child, she became passionate about helping women during this transformative time in their lives.  Specializing in this area, Kim believes it is an honor and a joy to care for these women.  She enjoys helping her clients out of pain in those common areas that can cause trouble during pregnancy and after delivery.  It is common in pregnancy to experience fatigue, nausea, back pain, hip pain, leg cramps, swelling, vericose veins, headaches, difficulty sleeping well and more.  Massage can help minimize these symptoms, decreasing pain and stress which is beneficial to both mother and baby.

Kim is also a birth doula and she loves caring for families during birth, working to facilitate an environment of love, peace, and support, so that mom and baby have their best possible birth experience.

Kim is married to Sam who is a pastor in Austin and they have two beautiful, wonderful children.
