"One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: that word is love." - Sophocles

I was attracted to bodywork for the first time when I saw how deeply I could affect another person in a compassionate and empowering way. People responded strongly to my work and I knew I had some exploring to do: not only of the art, but of myself. Massage therapy has been one of my greatest teachers in growth & self-love.

I was attracted to bodywork for the first time when I saw how deeply I could affect another person in a compassionate and empowering way. People responded strongly to my work and I knew I had some exploring to do: not only of the art, but of myself. Massage therapy has been one of my greatest teachers in growth & self-love.

I attended The Florida School of Massage in 2012, studying Polarity, Sports, and Connective Tissue Therapies. I learned techniques in hydrotherapy (think essential oils, steam baths, body-butter-crafting) as well as Swedish therapy and Reflexology. I also became certified in Thai massage and Thai foot reflexology with Ariela Grodner as an extracurricular adventure.
After graduating, I took my first Craniosacral Therapy class through the Upledger Institute and was hooked. I have taken all 4 of the core classes and am pursuing techniques certification.

Subjects that are of particular interest to me these days are non-violent communication, authentic relating, Wim-Hof breathing techniques, music, poetry, and dance. I love working with children and am building a business with a friend in which we will take rhythm and improv-based music classes into after school programs. (<--SUPER excited about that)

I provide CranioSacral Therapy and Thai Massage in Austin, TX under my business name, Deep Breath Massage.
