I graduated from the Lauterstein- Conway School of Massage in 2012 after serving 11 years in the Active duty Air Force. My experience in the Air Force medical field has translated well into therapist/ client setting. I have been working alongside chiropractors since graduating massage school as well as working in a spa setting and maintaining a private practice.
Massage can be an effective way of treating chronic pain, injury, stress, anxiety, depression, sluggish circulation and lymph drainage, and much more. My regular clientele range from office workers, marathon runners and fitness professionals, to senior citizens, musicians and nurses.
I practice integrative massage, which means I combine the most enjoyable and effective elements of a variety of different techniques. I use Swedish, massage cupping, sports massage, some myoskeletal alignment and active release techniques, and aromatherapy, to tailor every treatment to each individual’s needs with the goal of facilitating symptom relief and enhanced range of motion.
In deep tissue work, I go directly to the problem areas, working gradually from light to deep. I will stretch the body to position it for optimal access to the deep muscles. I incorporate large areas in my steam rolling effleurage, going slowly and thoroughly with deep to deeper pressure. At the same time I can shake tension away with jostling, but will follow through with deeper strokes. hide
