I originally studied massage in the 1980s, and practiced for a few years before my life took other directions. I thought about returning to bodywork as a profession off and on for a number of years, and finally decided to take the plunge in 2016.

My desire for this new/old career path is to provide nurturing, gentle touch to those who need it most: chronic pain patients, the elderly, trauma sufferers, etc. I believe that bodywork can greatly improve the psychological as well as physical well-being of these populations, and that as a more mature practitioner I will be well-suited to work with them. I hope to be able to offer my services gratis (or on a sliding scale) to those with financial as well as physical constraints, and would also love the opportunity to contribute to research on the effects of massage on those suffering from various illnesses.
