In short, I am in love with the Healing Arts.
My first real exploration into the field came by attending the American Society of Dowsers' annual convention in 2012. I am still in shock at the depth of the healing that took place for me there, and the skill of many practitioners that I have yet to see paralleled.
Ever on the hunt for these great mysteries, I aim to hone my skills by helping one person at a time as I heal myself. Your healing is Our healing, and I look forward to serving you.
I attended the Center for Massage & Natural Health in Asheville, NC, graduating in 2016.
Additionally, I have my certificate in Holistic Health Coaching from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and offer coaching that blends holistic health and nutrition with meditation, movement, and much more.
I have a 16 hr certification in basic polarity thanks to my mentors, Grace Humphrey-Murdoch and Deb Fox,and most importantly was taught the foundations of structural integration work from my mentor, Larch Hanson, who was a student of Tom Myers and an amazing man of the sea in Steuben, ME, where he harvests seaweed and lives on his homestead.
My massage blends these experiences together, and my intention is to bridge the realms of subtle energy and deep relaxation of the nervous system with deep work along the myofascial meridians akin to structural integration work.
While I am not a certified Rolfer or Structural Integration practitioner, I blend the concepts and instruction of my mentor into the basic Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Shiatsu that were foundational in my massage education. The result is effective structural change in the body that is facilitated by your state of deep relaxation and guided breathing, so that through your own breath you will learn to re-inhabit the 'stuck' parts of your body at your own pace.
I will be offering Massage at The Veda Studios in the Asheville, NC, as well as on location traveling to your home or office.
Blending the deep experience of therapeutic bodywork with coaching that addresses all aspects of your life for total support of your optimum potential.
When I'm not doing massage, I spend my time practicing what I preach by entering states of deep relaxation and release, facilitated by time spent in nature, meditation, and gentle movement practice. I'm an avid tree climber and fan of dancing, parkour, tai chi, martial arts, acro-yoga, and any interesting and beautiful way to move the human body. hide
