I began my massage therapy career in 2011 after 15 years in the dental field. I have always enjoyed the health field and love being a part of an industry that is constantly growing and evolving.
I would classify myself as a muscle therapist, as my goal is to find the root of a problem and fixing it or making an improvement verses short term relief of pain. I do love the challenge of deep muscle work although sometime we all just need a moment of peace.
It has been rewarding and challenging to grow my practice from the ground up and being able to expand with new therapist to meet my communities needs. I look forward meeting you in the near future!

My name is Kathryn Lindberg and I've been a practicing massage therapist since 2011. I attended Miller-Motte in Cary for my training and I have only grown more passionate about what I do. When I was a young girl, I had the notion in my head that I would be a nurse. Until my junior year in high school, it was all I ever worked toward. However, I had a change of heart when the thought occurred to me that I didn't want to be taking care of people when they were sick and needing medicine. I didn't want to get lost in and over-whelmed by pharmaceuticals. I bounced from Medical Assistant program to Medical Office program but, although I was purely capable of doing the work, I wasn't satisfied. I felt like I had a greater purpose.

Five years after graduating high school, I took a tour of Miller-Motte and received information on their Massage Therapy program. The moment I looked into those classrooms and saw massage tables used for desks, I knew that massage is where I belonged. I was excited to go back to school. I was excited about what I would be learning and I've never lost that. When I first graduated and began my career as a massage therapist I put my work emphasis on deep therapeutic massage. I had a natural touch for finding a problem area of a muscle and putting my focus there. For years, deep tissue is what I loved to do. However, this past August I took a four day oncology course that re-educated me on the nurturing touch. I learned how to touch a muscle with such a gentle hand and when I felt that soft, nurturing touch I felt changed as a therapist. My focus completely shifted and I knew that the compassionate touch was what I wanted to give. The beauty of the oncology class was this grand reminder that the power of touch isn't about the strength put into it but the intent.

For some people, massage therapy is a stepping stone to something else, but not for me. Massage is my career. I love what I do. Most importantly, I love that I never want to stop learning about it.

Having over 1300 hours from two schools has given me the unique opportunity to learn from some fantastic professionals in my field. A massage from me may consist of a variety of modalities including deep tissue, myofacial release, trigger point, cupping and Thai techniques. I love what I do and find giving a massage as therapeutic as receiving one. At OSTM I was voted as the person who gives the "Best Range of Motion", and "Most Likely to Spill Oil." I do not recommend booking with me if you prefer a lighter touch.

I love how serene this place is. The bed is the most comfortable massage table I have ever laid on, not to mention the face pillow and leg pillow were amazing and also the best I have ever experienced. I have been to 10-12 massage therapists before and this place FAR exceeds all of them. Even Syeni right down the hall, which I used to think was great. NO MORE...Moment of Peace is WONDERFUL and I am telling everyone about it! The location and the offices themselves are excellent. I ranked ambiance as just okay for 1) the train coming by and repeatedly blowing the horn during my session, but I was warned in advance that might happen and 2) a woman and two kids who were clients of the therapist who offices there were talking and laughing during my session. Not sure why they were sitting right outside my room's door, or why they didn't heed the signs that asked all guests to be quiet because there were massages taking place, but office staff needs to take control when that situation occurs.

I love supporting local, and walking into Moment of Peace Massage, reminded me why. It's convenient, small, quiet, personable with a great ambiance! The prices are probably standard for a non-chain, $100 for a 90 deep tissue massage, which is fine if you are having a one-time relaxing or therapeutic massage. I am trying to work out some really tight and messed up muscles which are causing me a lot of pain, to do this effectively, I really need to return regularly over the next few weeks, and this is cost prohibitive for me. I am hoping that they can move to some sort of package plan for situations like this sometime in the future. That being said, I would HIGHLY recommend Moment of Peace.

Before, I experienced limited movement, especially in my lower back but I've noticed lately at the gym I'm able to stretch further and move more freely. I had surgery on my arms three months ago that left very long scars that felt very tight and wanted to start massage therapy to help soften the scar tissue. I can't believe how much better they feel after one session! Not only did Brandy work very hard on my scars she also helped me with the pain I had in my upper arm from heavy lifting.
